Ozark Henry has left his mark on the Belgian music scene since the mid-‘90s. His early, mostly avant-garde electronic work quickly earned him the support of artists like David Bowie, Trent Reznor, Jah Wobble and Zazie. He toured as the supporting act for Moby and Garbage and the acclaimed French music magazine Les Inrocks labelled him ‘le jeune Bowie Flamande’.
Since then, he has released seven studio albums, cutting out a unique musical path and developing the Ozark Henry sound: elements of electro, sonic shimmer and classical influences intelligently fused into art-rock music with a cinematic feel. Although he has collaborated with producers such as Youth (founding member of killing Joke and producer of The Verve, Depeche Mode, tc and vocalists like Martina Topley Bird (Mercury Prize Nominee and singer on Tricky’s debut album), he recently returned to a solo process, controlling every element himself - writing, composing, playing all the instruments, producing and art direction of artwork and music videos. The album was mixed by Tim Bran, who just produced the London Grammar album and it was mastered by multiple Grammy winner Darcy Propper.
With every album, his following grew on both sides of the Belgian language border. The last 5 albums went platinum, including his current album ‘Stay Gold’. He has won countless Music Industry Awards (the Belgian Grammies), ranging from ‘Best Writer/Composer’, to ‘Best Song’ and most recently, ‘Best Pop Artist’. MTV nominated him for ‘2013 Best Belgian Artist’, alongside Stromae. He was the 2nd most downloaded Belgian artist of 2013.
'I'm your sacrifice' received a gold award in Italy and will be released all over the world in 2014.
