Alexandra Stan is a Romanian singer and songwriter. She made her debut with a hit called “Lollipop” and put her on a trail of worldwide successes. Her first single, “Lollipop”, was a hit, and with the second one, “Mr. Saxobeat”, she topped international charts, recording over 65 million views on YouTube.
In 2011, she received a platinum record for her single "Mr. Saxobeat", which has managed to achieve more than 1.,000,000 units sold worldwide.
The beautiful artist discovered her vocal talent when she was a little girl. She followed this passion that soon turned into a musical career. Alexandra took singing lessons and participated in Mamaia Festival 2009, where she made ​​a great impression, with just a few months before her debut with "Lollipop".
The big breakthrough came in September 2010, when the beautiful blonde released the song that made her so famous: "Mr. Saxobeat"! The song created a worldwide obsession in just two months and reached first place in "Romanian Top 100". The song never left the first place for 8 weeks, unprecedented performance. It was a hit and stepped on the first position in charts: Italy, Denmark, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland. The song was on the first place in Germany, Austria and Switzerland for 20 weeks. "Mr. Saxobeat" reached the ears of New-Zealanders, Australians or Brazilians. The song reached 500.000 downloads in Canada and not only! More than that, the official YouTube video gathered over 52 million views. In 2012, Alexandra won European Border Breakers Award (EBBA), for reaching audiences outside Romania with her first internationally released album, “Saxobeats”!
The song brought her various awards. Alexandra won the Platinum Disc in Australia, Spain, Italy, Denmark and Sweden. Alexandra was the star of the Romanian Music Awards 2011 edition, where she won the "Best Dance" and "Best Song" awards. She, also, received two nods for "Best Female" and she won the "Border breaker Award"!
She was nominated for Best European Act at 2011 MTV European Music Awards, after winning Best Romanian Act at the expense of Guess Who, Puya, Smiley and Fly Project.
After the success with "Mr Saxobeat", other hits followed, "Get Back(ASAP)", "1,000,000" and “Lemonade” which were also on first positions in the charts around the world.

This year, Alexandra has launched 4 singles and videos:
“Thanks For Leaving”, “Cherry Pop”, “Dance” and “Give Me Your Everything”. Her second album, Unlocked, will be launched at the end of this year.

The album Unlocked has already been launched in Japan and reached #1 on the iTunes Dance Chart in just a few hours, and #3 on the iTunes Albums Chart.
