Welche Auswirkungen hat der monatelange Lockdown wohl auf den Einfallsreichtum von Kreativen überall auf der Welt??? Zu denjenigen, die die Quarantäne-Zeit ganz offensichtlich sinnvoll für sich nutzen konnte, zählt der Songwriter, Produzent und DJ Frans Zimmer, besser bekannt als Alle Farben . Ihm gelang es, ein komplettes Album mit 18 (!) Songs fertig zu stellen.

Gigs vor 60.000 Menschen, 2,5 Millionen verkaufte Singles, vier Mal für die 1LIVE Krone nominiert, drei Mal für den Echo, 2017 den Echo in der Kategorie „Dance National“ gewonnen, dreimal am Stück die Pole-Position der Airplaycharts: Die Karriere des international erfolgreichen DJs Alle Farben hat ihren Zenit noch längst nicht erreicht. Doch wie
legt man einen solchen Senkrechtstart hin – und schafft es, dass die Flamme immer weiter brennt?
Shibuya Love von Lexy & Autotune – wenn man einen Track benennen müsste, der den Grundstein für seine Karriere gelegt hat, dann diesen. Es ist 2002 und Alle Farben 17 Jahre alt, als er imHausflur ein paar alte Vinyls findet. Als Generation CD ist er begeistert von dem Medium Schallplatte, der kratzigen Authentizität und der breiten Klangwelt der elektronischen Musik. Ab jetzt verbringt er seine Freizeit in Berlins Plattenläden, schmökert sich durch House- und Discosounds. Als es ihm nicht mehr reicht, Musik nur Zuhause hören zu können, stellt er sein erstes Mixtape zusammen. Erst nur für seine eigenen Ohren gedacht, lädt er die eigenen Sets irgendwann auf SoundCloud hoch.
Zeitgleich wird er ganz analog bei einem Straßenfest von einem Ladenbesitzer entdeckt. Ihm gefalle, was er höre. Ob er nicht mal in seinem Laden im Prenzlauer Berg spielen wolle? Und wie er will. Ab jetzt hat Alle Farben wöchentliche Dates in der LGBT Szene Berlins, seine Bekanntheit wächst rasant, es folgen immer weitere und immer größere Gigs, auch über die Szene hinaus.
Und dann? Dann kam Traktor Scratch. Und immer mehr das Internet. Diese beiden in Kombination bedeuteten vor allem eines: uneingeschränkter Zugriff auf die größte Musiksammlung der Welt! Nun muss man nicht mehr eisern gespartes Geld in Plattenläden tragen. Die neue Technik und das Internet bieten die gesamte Bandbreite an Musik – zu jeder Zeit und zu jedem Preis. Während Alle Farben eine noch größere Welt der Musik entdeckt, entdeckt die Welt ihn. Seine Uploads auf SoundCloud werden überall bekannt, eine Zeit lang ist er der weltweit meist gestreamte Künstler. Und der Erfolg bricht nicht ab. Ein Beweis in Zahlen: ALLE Singles landen in den Top 10 der Airplay Charts. Only Thing We Know verweilt ganze FÜNF Wochen auf Platz EINS, der Nachfolge-Hit „Fading“ über einen Monat an der Spitze der Airplaycharts. Über ZEHN Mal hagelte es Gold, Platin und sogar Diamond Status für seine letzten sechs Singles.
Alle Farben ist ein Künstler, der vielleicht in Farben denkt. Ganz sicher aber nicht in Grenzen.
Verschiedene Genres, Live-Musiker, Sänger, Orte: es gibt nichts, dass er sich nicht vorstellen kann. Er hat Shows im Dschungel von Thailand gespielt oder im Flugzeug über den Wolken. Ebenso legendär sind seine 6 Stunden Sessions. Der Name ist ein Versprechen: 8000 Menschen tanzen, während Alle Farben sechs Stunden ohne Unterbrechung auflegt. Unterstützung bekommt er von verschiedenen Künstlern, die er sich stündlich auf die Bühne holt: ob Sänger, klassisch ausgebildete Musiker oder unerwartete Instrumente – Alle Farben liebt es, sein Publikum zu überraschen. Alles kann, nichts muss, aber eines wird es sicher nie: langweilig.
Überraschen wird Alle Farben auch mit seinem dritten Studioalbum. „Sticker On My Suitcase“ zeigt einen großen, und inzwischen auch wichtigen Aspekt in seinem Leben: das Reisen. In den letzten Jahren immer on tour hat er gelernt, dass nicht immer das Ziel das Ziel ist. Und Reisen mehr als nur Fortbewegung. „Unterwegs zu sein, ist genauso mein Leben, wie irgendwo anzukommen.“ Das Ziel ist die Reise selbst – auf der Route Richtung Erfolg.

Whilst the video wall behind Frans Zimmer is flickering and the garish lights are
highlighting the dancing crowd only for a few seconds at a time – you just know when
you reached that certain point where your heartbeat is determined by the rhythm of his
sound. It’s truly impressive to watch Frans Zimmer a.k.a. Alle Farben (which is German
for “allcolours”) while he’s on stage. You can see the passion on his smiling face, when
he’s observing the crowd dancing in a shower of confetti and the only sign of exhaustion
is sweat dripping off his forehead. At times you may also find him totally focused behind
all thoseswitches and controls on stage, working meticulously on his compositions,
while there are thousands of people dancing right in front of him.
Alle Farben is originally based in Berlin and after years of travelling the world he is
anything but a newcomer. In early 2014, he released his first studio album
“Synesthesia”, which has generated a tremendous response in Germany and beyond
However, the success of his album did not diminish his passion for festivals and live
performances. Therefore, he still kept touring the world in 2015 to provide music lovers
with unforgettable nights and marvellous sunrises. Whether it’s New York City
Bangkok, Paris, Zurich, Beirut or Kuala Lumpur – Alle Farben is welcomed throughout
the world.
The DJ with a penchant for painting has been a well-established act for ten years now. In
Berlin itwas particularly his courage that left a residual impression on the club scene
when he first started. And it didn’t take long for everyone to realise that he was going
places. Alle Farben loves to experiment and he simply doesn’t accept the rigid
boundaries of music genres. In his performances there are all kinds of elements
involved: live musicians with hints of classical or swing music, lingering between techno,
minimal and house. To him it has never been a contradiction to play Tchaikovsky at a
festival or at the club – if anything it was a welcome challenge. His DJ sets always follow
a concept, a dramatic conception, always with an eye toward aesthetics. Alle Farben is
eager to present his melodies in a proper light, because as he says: When it comes to
perception, music is not so different from colours – the intensity determines the
emotions.
Alle Farben is genuine and original right out of Berlin-Kreuzberg. Therefore, his sound
naturally transports the specific characteristics and qualities of Berlin’s nightlife:
diverse, colourful, boundless and always walking this very thin line between melancholy
and euphoria. Only consequent that 2016 will also be an album year for his biography.
With “Music Is My Best Friend” the Berlin-based goes back to the next big impact and
expresses impressively in which ways he establishes as a DJ and also as a studio
musician. His passion and his best friend “Music” have led to fourteen great tracks that
are not onlygreat studio songs on one side, but will also led his audience to the max on
the other. Promised.
After the pre-up track “Remember Yesterday (feat. Perttu & Michael Schulte)” follows
“Please Tell Rosie (feat. YOUNOTUS)” on 15th April 2016. Shiny and glossy with a great
hook and perfectly fitting to the wording of the album: „Please Tell Rosie – I’m not gonna
come back, ’til September, ‘cause Music is my best friend“. It’s going straight into
direction - summer - and it starts now!
